Sorry blog fans. It has been a crazy month! I have been traveling almost every weekend and Patrick's ranches are in full swing. But not to worry, we are back with some updates! Here we are eating at cafe citi on the 12. My ravioli is amazing, but as you can tell by his face, Patrick's lasagna was so salty he couldn't swallow it. Too Bad.

The Final Fashion Show
On Saturday night, mom and I went to her final Rio Senior Fashion Show. 25 years ago, my high school began doing this yearly fashion show. It was a fundraiser thought of by enterprising PTA moms. A teacher MC-ed and others were recruited to be models along with kids from the senior class. It began with local shops donating goodies or volunteering to be a featured clothing store. It was a 'ladies only' event that look place outside with lovely decorated tables, a delicious catered lunch and each person got a fabulous goodie bag. Other Seniors would sing and play instruments during the show. There was an auction for all kinds of fun things. I was in it as a Senior and my mom was in it several times. Boy has it changed. Now it is a show in the gym and everybody (including boys) sits in the bleachers. Rock bands play, kids MC and no teachers are involved. There are mediocore desserts following the program. Despite these changes, the show itself is still really cute and brings bakcs lots of fond memories.
The Big 30
Cheryll had a girls' day out party for her 30th. Garrett surprised her with a limo to chauffeur six of us around all day. It was Awesome. We had a delicious breakfast (cooked by Garrett), got our nails done at a fancy salon, had lunch, went on a shopping spree and came home to a BBQ dinner. At every location Garrett had set up additional surprises, including flowers and singing cards that fit the theme of each activity. It could not have been a better day! What a great husband.
Spaghetti Dinner
On friday, I went to Cheryll's school's fundraiser. It was an all-you-can-eat pasta night. The food wasn't bad and it has been years since I have had orange drink. We walked down the road to pick up Owen from daycare so he could join to party. As soon as we got our food, Owen reached over and grabbed a handful or noodles in one hand and spilled Cheryll's punch with the other. Then he grabbed some spaghetti off the plate of a woman walking by. We were cracking up. I sat down on the bench and one end went flying up and I fell onto the floor. Thank goodness I had already put my food down on the table. I sure don't miss that cafeteria seating. In the silent auction, Owen and I bid on a bunch of goodies baskets, but I don't know if we won anything yet. Cross you fingers that I get the 'haircuts for a year' prize. Patrick needs it!
Band Trip
This last week has been really eventful. My cousins came down from Eureka. Kris was being a chaperone on Kaitlyn's band trip to a competition at Disneyland. They had a stop over here and played a concert at a local high school. She's a flute player in the symphonic band and they were pretty good. Go Band Nerds! The boys wore tuxedos and the girls had on black cocktail dresses. What happened to those great, dorky uniforms with tassels and tall hats? Kaitlyn and her friends slept at the home of a local host family (with kids our high school's band) and Kris came over to our house. It was great to see them even if it was a short visit.

R D I & Sac
I abandoned Patrick this weekend and went to help out at an autism training in Sacramento. He had to work :< Mom, Cheryll and I saw Definitely, Maybe at the cheap theater. It was much better than we expected. Mom fell asleep in the middle, but only for a few minutes. She isn't a wild, night-owl anymore. I didn't get to see Owen walk, but Garrett has this fufny game with him where they both start sniffing at each other and he makes this crazy face. I tried to get a picture, but every time the camera came out he stopped. I came home on Saturday night and woke up sick, which was a bummer b/c I wanted to clean the house. Patrick went hiking in the woods for a few hours. He went so far that he ended up on the road and wasn't sure which way would take him back. I had to come pick him up and drive him back up the mountain to his car.
