Just cause

She is cuddling with her daddy - isn't that cute!

And here she is after we finished decorating the house - more cutness!

Trees

We went to the farm to get a tree for our house. This was a really cool farm; it had so many varieties that we had never seen before. Emma like to touch the branches and watch all the people rushing around. Despite all the fabulous trees, Patrick insisted on buying a hideous, sad Charlie Brown tree. He loved it and kept saying it was the friendliest tree he had ever seen (and I don't know why). LOL, Next year I am picking the tree!

The Day After - Christmas Eve 2

Emma didn't appreciate having to pose pictures two days in a row, but we got a few smiles. And she loved her first Gumbo! She sat and ate little bits for a LONG time. She tried to grab the Bouche d'Noel, but Grandma stopped her just in time.

Christmas Part 1

This year we were all sick. On the real Christmas eve, Garrett and Owen were too sick to come over so we have one dinner with Jack & Rae and then did another one the next night when everybody felt better. Emma was really into berries and she ate so many that her fingers were dyed pink. We open a few presents that morning with just Patrick and my parents so Emma would have some new things to play. Her favorite was a basketball hoop from Grandpa.

Dove Court

There is a street in near my parent's house where every house does extreme decorating. Emma, grandma and I went on our annual visit one cold night. We were lucky enough to get a close parking spot and Emma love looking at the bright lights. She talked and pointed all the way around the court.

At Home

Patrick put up a tree in the living room and we thought the berry would be all over it. He weighted down the base and tied it to the wall in case she tried to pull it over. But she wasn't that interested. Sometimes she would crawl over to shake the branches and grab the Charlie Brown Ornaments we put near the bottom, but she usually just left it alone. Here she is examining the needles.
