My mom came to visit this weekend to celebrate her birthday with us. However, we had our new little guy, who doesn't like when I leave him, so the weekend was more like movies and take-out instead of our usual theater and fancy dinners. On Sunday, we got ready to go out and jumped in the car only to discover that my cell phone clock had changed due to daylight savings. We laughed all the way in to the house. How could we not have heard? I called 'Popcorn' to make sure the phone was correct and found that it was no longer in service. I couldn't believe it! I have been using Popcorn for years to set my clocks. Anyways, I checked online and discovered that Bush has ordered daylight savings to start a week later. I am still not clear about why he wanted to push back daylight savings. Perhaps this would interfere with his golf game?

Geocaching
So I didn't know what this was until I read about it in an high school friend's blog and now we can't wait to try it. (Well, Patrick doesn't really get why I want to do this, but he's up for anything after harvest ends.) It is basically modern day, pseudo-treasure hunting via GPS. People hide little boxes with logs and little surprises all over their neighborhoods in parks 'n' stuff. You go out with your GPS unit and coordinates and try to find it. The rules are: don't move it, sign the logbook take something and leave a little something behind (no edibles). How cool is that. I can just see it, millions of dollars waiting for me to find them!

This is a picture of a geochache stash. Awesome.
